Windows 7 CD, no 64bit option?

    Hey all,

My windows 7 install CD does not appear to have a 64bit option? Or am I not waiting long enough in the install process to make that choice?

I slapped in the Cd, did custom install. Partitioned my drives, and it started to install. But at no EARLY ON point did I get a 32bit or 64bit install option? So I stopped the install and wanted to ask if my CD only has 32bit mode windows 7?

I was told all windows 7 Cds came with both 32bit and 64bit?

    Anyone care to school me?

    Thanks!

It should have both 32x and 64x. Where is windows CD from?

If it was included with the purchase of computer (pre-installed) then it might only include the one they provided with system.

There should be two (2) disks, one with x32, the other x64.

Yeah, not sure what the first responder meant, but both platforms aren't on the same disc. What type of license did you buy, and how did you obtain it? Those answers will let us continue.

It's great, everything on one DVD and can boot the ISO to install in VirtualBox; though you need a separate key to activate each version.

Hello ilsmku, welcome to Seven Forums!

If that is a volume license disk you will need a volume liscense key to activate it, did your dad give you a key to use to activate it with?
