I have a laptop with Vista and I bought a dvd of Windows 7 Full version that I want to install on this laptop. I want to remove Vista. Do I have to format the c drive before installing Windows 7 or will this be done during the installation process?

If you have No Data on the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) that you don't want to lose, have a look at the tutorial at the link below to do a wipe "secure erase" on the HDD so you'll have a clean slate to start with, though any/all data on the HDD will be over-written so be sure.
