Startup repair cannot repair this computer

    Startup repair cannot repair this computer


    Have been getting this lately , can anybody give me the fix please , went to safe mode and backed up my files i needed ,but the pc will not start up , help me please

    well, when you bought your computer and installed windows 7 you should have occasionally seen a popup saying "please make a repair disk" at the bottom of the screen...or maybe it is just the manufacturer that im using that does it

    I never had the pc from new , so is there a link a can download a repair disc , thanks

    If you can't get into your windows 7 to use method one, try method two of this tutorial,

    System Repair Disc - Create
      My Computer

    Boot the repair CD, accept any offered repair.

    If it won't start boot back in, click through to Recovery Tools list to run Startup Repair repeatedly with reboots.

    Next you need to use CD command line to make sure that Win7 is marked Active: Partition - Mark as Active

    Then run Startup Repair again repeatedly with reboots to see if it will start. Report back.

    update , i have wiped my pc with D Ban disk wipe , have reinstalled windows 7 and still getting Startup repair can not repair this computer automatically , could it be a HDD problem and if so how can you tell , thanks
