Dual boot W7-Vista, how to delete Vista?

    Hi,

I've been looking around for a good tutorial or something like that on how to delete vista from my computer.
Some say that when i would just delete the partition my w7 won't start up again.
Can someone make a tutorial where everything is explained well, or just answer here?
This is how my disk management looks atm:

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I think i changed the "active" to where w7 is installed, and also the start up and system.. So you think i can just delete the partitione?

    Sorry for my bad english

Ok You may want to follow these Options after you delete the Vista Partition

    Hope This Helps,

Hello hellgun, welcome to Seven Forums.

Have a look at the tutorial at the link below, the info in Option One can be used to delete the old Vista partition and then re-size the Windows 7 partition to include that space; everything needed is in the tutorial.
Be sure to create backups of any data you would now want to lese before you get started, there's been no problems with this program so far but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

I tried it with my bootable CD with partition manager from TeraByte, that didn't work.
So I'll give this one a try!

    Thanx

You also need a Repair CD (not a Recovery disk) if you don't already have the Win7 DVD which has a Repair Console. System Repair Disc - Create

Resizing Win7 into the deleted space can make Win7 unbootable, so you may need to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots to start it back up.

I am surprised Startup Repair wasn't required when you marked Win7 Active.

Yes, I needed that when I made it active.
Everything is fine now, I got the 100GB with the w7 partition with partition wizard.
    Thanks everyone, this is closed!
