Windows 7: Dual Boot Wndows And Mac

Firstly sorry if this is on the wrong board...
I have a Pakard Bell Easynote TJ71, i am goin to college next year and will need access to final cut pro, instead of buying a new mac, i would like to know if i can dual boot my pc?


My specs are:

• AMD Turion ll X2 M500, 2.0Ghz Dual-Core
• 2x 2Gb Memory
• AMD M880G with Radeon HD 4200
• I have windows 7 home premium Os installed

Have you considered using VirtualBox to run a Mac? It may be less trouble if you could.

Would i be able to install final cut pro on it?

I have no experience with Mac and had to Google the SW in question to see what it is. Keep checking back as someone with some time with Mac stuff is sure to help you before long.

Apple doesn't permit their operating system to be installed on non-Apple hardware.

You can search the Web on "hackintosh". People have hacked the OS to install on generic PCs, but I don't know whether they've done it on PCs that don't use Intel CPUs. (Current Macs use Intel hardware.) I've also seen a USB dongle that makes the PC look like an EFI system to the MacOS installer, but it costs several hundred dollars, and it's only certified to work with a limited number of PCs.

If you really need to run Final Cut Pro, get a Mac. Steve Jobs demands it. Sorry that I can't be more encouraging.
