ntldr missing - deleted xp - Parted Magic

Hi there,
On my windows XP system i installed windows 7 (on drive f), which worked excellently. In a attemt to get rid of the old operating system i innocently started to delete drive c, on which the old os was. As my compu defaultly started with win7, i guessed that would not cause a problem.
When i rebooted, i get a 'ntldr is missing' problem. Recovering XP does not work, i need to supply a password, mine doesn't work. The installation-dvd of windows 7 does not work either. The only os which currently works is parted magic, that starts from usb. Does that open a door to a solution?

Your System Active MBR is located on the XP drive, so when you delete it you need recover the System MBR into Win7.

This is done by booting the Win7 DVD Repair console, then using the Command line to mark Win7 active with Diskpart: Partition - Mark as Active

Next run Startup Repair from booted DVD up to 3 separate times with reboots to write the MBR to Win7 which must be on a Primary partition. Startup Repair

If these are on the same HD, you can recover the XP disk space into the Win7 partition while also marking Win7 active following this tutorial to remove the System partition and recover it into Win7: Partition Wizard : Use the Bootable CD
