Installation Issues: Interface won't appear
Hi everyone,
I'm attempting to install Windows 7 x64 RC on my computer, and I have run into the exact same issue I had with the beta version of it. When I boot into the disk/usb(I tried both burning it to a disk and making a bootable usb drive), I get the "Windows is loading files" message, and the bar fills. Then I get the "Starting Windows" while the icon appears. After that, a blue background image(with like snowflakes or something on it, not just the BSoD) appears, along with the mouse cursor and the "thinking" circle. Eventually the "thinking" circle goes away, and I am left with just a cursor on a blue screen.
No interface appears to start the installation process. I hit shift+F10 to get the command prompt up, which worked, and I tried to run Setup.exe, but upon running it, nothing happens, I am stuck with just a cursor and a Blue background image.
If I try running the "Setup.exe" from the disk while booted into Windows XP, I get an "This is not a valid Win32 executable" error.
Has anybody had an issue like this before? I am very confused on what could be causing this. I don't think it could be my burner or USB configuration as I have installed 32bit Windows 7 beta on a different computer using the USB and it worked fine.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks
EDIT: Wow... I looked for an Installation specific forum and I didn't see one until after I posted. Sorry I missed it, feel free to move this.
