Windows 7: Long download

I am on a wireless N DSL connection with usually relatively high download speeds when i've downloaded other things (granted not entire OSs) but it seems to be taking longer than i anticipated. each time i try it looks like its taking 6 or 7 hours. is this normal? if normal, i'll keep trying (the first time it said it was corrupt). if its not normal, does anyone have any suggestions/ideas? thx. im going with the 64-bit since im currently on vista 64 bit.

Are you downloading a torrent or the RC from MS? Torrents can be slow due to not enough seeds. MS can be slow if a lot of people are downloading at the same time.

thanks gary. im doing it from ms. maybe there's just a bunch of people doing the same thing i am, therefore its painfully slow.

Yea. Only thing you can do is try at a different time of day or in a couple days and hope it is better. Also it can go along slow and suddenly jump right up as others finish the download.

My download from MS took 24 hours on DSL ... so don't feel bad with 6 or 7!

ure lucky when the Windows 7 RC was leaked it took me 15 hours to get it on Utorrent lol it was worth it.
