Insert your win7/winxp cd/dvd to the drive and

    EITHER

go into the BIOS and choose CD/DVD Drive as first boot device

    OR

Select the CD/DVD Drive in the boot menu! (press and repeat the F12 keys on most computers)

    Hello Laurisgoal,

You might double check your BIOS boot priority setting like above, but make sure that the HDD that you are installing Windows 7 to is listed as the second boot device after the CD/DVD drive. If you only have the CD/DVD drive listed, then that would cause it to only boot from the CD/DVD like that.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Hello laurisgoal, welcome to Seven Forums!

Where did the Windows 7 installer DVD come from, did you burn it yourself?

If so you may need to burn it again, use the free ImgBurn ISO burner at the link below at 4x speed with a verify to make sure it's not a bad burn on the DVD.

Shawn, i think the problem really was a boot priority settings, now it moved on and installation looks alright, thanks :)
