    Windows 7 Installation Troubles


    Hello Community Members, I have previously installed Windows 7 and recieved the same error and tried it again and it worked, but the installation seemed unstable and I recieved many Blue Screen Errors. In an attempt to correct this I tried to reinstall Windows 7. In doing so I have wiped my hard drive for a fresh install.

    I placed the Windows 7 Installation DVD in and proceeded with the install. When I got to the 'expanding files 20+%' the installation stops and I recieve an error stating:

    "Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070570"

    In an attempt to correct this I have transferred the files to a USB external hard drive and have got to the same point in the installation and recieved the same error message.

    My next step is to download an ISO off the internet and using this as my DVD might contain a corrupt file.

    I am wondering what your advice is and any tips on how to correct this (other than my next step). Please note my Windows Installation DVD is genuine.

    Simon,
    Wash the DVD in lukewarm water with a liquid dish washing soap--my favorite is Palmolive original with no scents.

    When you wash it use only you hands and a toothbrush.

    After the wash, rinse very well and then blow dry the dvd with a hair dryer on the lowest heat setting. You just want to dry the dvd and not cook it.

    Usually this will suffice. If not wash again but this time use a plain toothpaste on the toothbrush and be gentle and be sure to rinse well.

    Ah yes, failed to mention--the data is recorded on the shiny underside of the dvd and not on the top side.

    Be sure to not touch the underside of the disc with your hands after you finish washing the DVD.

    I am currently placing memtest86+ onto a usb and attempting to run memory scans. Although I don't believe this to be the issue as I had previously done scans of this memory using the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool when Windows 7 was installed on that computer. Also please not that this occurred the first time I installed but on the second try it worked fine. Since reinstalling this time I have tried over 15 times.

    Okay, so I have downloaded memtest86+ formatted my USB to NTFS and placed the memtest86+ files on the USB. I place it in the USB slot with the BIOS set correctly and I recieve the message BOOTMGR is missing. How do I correct this - please note this is my first time using this program.

    Please note that I have since attempted installing Windows 7 from my external hard drive and recieved the following error message AFTER the error message I originally posted (this may have popped up one or two times previously).

    "Rollback.exe - Application Error
    The instruction @ 0x77a1504f referenced memory at 0x08000010. The memory couldnot be read.
    Click OK to terminate the program."

    Two questions ...

    Is the DVD you are trying the install with a factory created disk or is it one you created from a downloaded ISO file? If it's one you created try another burn using ImgBurn at a speed no greater than 4x and let it do a verify before it finishes.

    Firstly The disc is one that I have bought myself - it is not a downloaded ISO. Secondly no I used a different guide, but the same method.

    Note: I found this part interesting
    You can only create a 32-bit Windows 7 USB key from within a 32-bit Vista or Windows 7.
    You can only create a 64-bit Windows 7 USB key from within a 64-bit Vista or Windows 7

    The laptop I used was Widows Vista Ultimate 32bit. The Windows 7 I am using is 64bit. Now I got to the same point of expanding Windows with the DVD as I did with the USB. So... ummm... I don't know where to go from here.

Troubles installing windows 7

Ive been trying to install windows 7 on my PC for over 8 hours now with no avail, I have three CD's One is Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit another 32Bit one burnt with ImgBurn and one with windows 7 image burn on a laptop and the 32bit Home edition(from the laptop) and ive tried to install each CD over 5...
About a month ago, I downloaded Win7 32-bit and burned the file to a disk. I forgot about it, and now, I have decided to try it out. The installer loads fine when I insert the disk on my desktop, but I can't boot from the disk. Also, when I attempt to install from the desktop, I get this error...

I tried to install W7 but when it tries to restart (any time) it will freeze. I think this cause something to go wrong as I have to press restart button on front of tower. When it starts back again it gets stuck on Completing Install and since many people say install takes 12-20 minutes I guess it...
