Tips for importing my Windows 7 install to a fresh install?

Hi!

I plan on reformatting Windows 7 x64 due to some hardware issues. Basically, I would like to be able to have things like Windows 7 settings, themes, ect imported. Any tips on how to do this?

edit: I do have separate partitions/harddrives to backup files, program data, ect.

Windows Easy Transfer
Ill get the link
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...-easy-transfer

When I went from Vista to 7, I used it. Tranfer everything to a finger drive and then transfer to the new OS.

There doesn't seem to be a program for Windows 7 to Windows 7.

edit: I don't think I'll need. I backed up my C:\Users\username folder so I should be covered.

I did vista to vist, it will work. That Easy Transfer is a selling gimick to get you to buy. Tell you what, give it a test. Do what I did set up a new account and see if it works, now.

Just type easy transfer into the start search and you should get the WET that's built in to Windows 7.

also not all settings are held in the user folder tree WET will also backup some more global settings
