Windows 7: Is Win Easy Transfer "machine specific?"

Is Win Easy Transfer "machine specific?"

My daughter supports her business with a Win XP machine and this is now clearly faiing. Since the required new PC will not be available for a few days she is concerned that a total failure of the old PC will risk loss of documents and settings (although she has already backed up "My Documents" to an external HDD).
I recently re-formatted my own Win XP HDD and installed Windows 7 Home Premium instead using Win Easy Transfer with perfect results. I have now re-loaded the Easy Transfer programme onto a memory stick from my PC and, so far as I can see, my daughter should be able to use this to safely back-up both documents and settings to an external HDD pending delivery of the new machine.
Can anyone confirm that this is so, please? Failing this, could she use my own Windows 7 operating system disk (an OEM version) to obtain a copy of Easy Transfer?

I don't believe there is a difference but the link Barman58 provided is to xfer from XP to Vista. Here is the link for for XP to Win 7:

Download details: Windows Easy Transfer for transferring from Windows XP (32 bit) to Windows 7

If you need 64bit, the link is at the bottom of that page.

Just a point to think about as well. Are you really going to feel comfortable letting some software decide what is important to you? I don't, and that's why I always back up my data manually if I was moving to a new computer or OS. It is my computer, I use it, and therefore I know where and what is important to me.
