    Win7x86/Win7x64 Install

Trying to Install x64 on a Second Partion after runnin' x86 for the last week or so...

    Shrunk Drive C and Formatted/Named Drive Z...

Restart Comp with Disk in Drive and get black screen with...

    1.

    2.

    Select CD-Rom Boot Type...

Gives no Info after Numbers, figured one in Upgrade and other is custom (?)... Any ideas...????

I know pressing 2 gives me...

Non System Disk or Disk Error
Replace and press any key to continue...

Then it Boots Win7x86 after doing so...

    What am I missing here...???

I have Two x64 Disks Burned right now... One thru Windows own ISO Imaging, and the other thru CDBurnerXP which is how I burned my Win7x86 Disk I'm running on now... Both do it, so I'm guessing it's not a Disk Error from that end...

Had the same problem. Booted into Vista then ran the the setup for Win 7 7100 64 bit though Vista. It worked great this way. Can't see any reason why it wouldn't work though Win 7.

That thought had crossed my mind, but was worried it'd dump everything I'd done so far to date...

OK... Trying the Set Up from Win7 won't get it... Won't run the x64 Set Up in x86, no real surprise there... Anyone else have a Clue what the 1 & 2 are meant to be representing on the Black Screen...???

My other Thought was it wants the Partition Selected, but getting that Error, I'm not sure...

    I've seen that screen also.
I think I just selected 1. and the install went on.
Not sure what the 1 & 2 mean, but I don't think it makes a difference.
