BOOTMGR is missing
I just finished building my computer and put in my windows 7 installation disk however when I got to the installion screen it could detect the hard disk but it wasn't working. It said make sure the connections are correct and that it isn't read-only. I then moved it over to my old computer as a secondary hard drive where i formatted it. It was then useable on that computer. I moved it back to my new computer and got to where the problem was last time, except this time there didn't seem to be one. It simply said to restart the computer so it booted the newly installed windows straight off the hard drive rather than the cd and then reinsert the cd to finish installation. However, when I turn my computer on, it simply say BOOTMSG is missing, press ctrl + alt + del to restart on a black screen and if i boot from the disk it just goes and starts to install windows again before telling me to restart my computer and then reinserting the cd. I have tried doing startup repair as has been suggested to other people with this problem however it didn't work. Any suggestions?
