Acer eRecovery Management

Hey guys

I want to recover my laptop, an Acer Aspire 8735G. When I bought this laptop I deleted all the mess that comes with it, but I accidently deleted Acer eRecovery too, which is necessary to burn the hidden backup partition to a CD/DVD which is what I wanted to do.

I want to burn the hidden partition on a CD or DVD and then just recover my laptop. The reason that I want to recover my laptop is because I have most files backed up and there's too much mess on my laptop to figure out everything I want to back up.

The mess on my laptop is just too big to find out what I still want to use of it. Anyone has a download to the Acer eRecovery Management application? It's been deleted from the Acer website for some reason. I already downloaded a version of the eRecovery program but the loader said it wasn't compatible with my version of Windows/hardware.

Sad to say if you deleted the "Acer Factory Recovery Partition" before you created the recovery disk set there's not much that can be done for that, once it's gone it's gone.

There is the option to use a Windows 7 install disk of the exact same version to reinstall Windows 7 to the laptop and use the activation key on the COA sticker attached to the PC to active when finished; do you know anyone that may have a Windows 7 disk you would be able to use?

I think you didn't understand me very well, the partition is still there. I simply deleted the program!

Here is the standard Acer Recovery Instructions

1. Power on the machine
2. At the white ACER BIOS screen, hold the “Alt” key and press the “F10” key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery
3. Once eRecovery has loaded, click “Restore to Factory Default Settings”
4. Click “OK” to continue
5. From here, the eRecovery process will update all the data on the C: drive and restore a fully functional factory image (approximately 10 minutes).
6. Once eRecovery has run, press “OK” to reboot unit

I'll post here when the recovery was successfully done or failed. How many times can I do a backup like this? Unlimited?
