    Windows Easy Transfer

Hi there, hope this is in the right spot. My problem is I don't know if I can merge 2 different pc's into the new laptop using easy file transfer or will it wipe out the first transfer that I have already done? Different users on both old computers.
    thanks

Don't think it would be a problem. Although it may overwrite duplicate files. You will may have to reinstall some programs from their source code but it will tell what you need to reinsyall.

Yea I was more worried about over writing email settings and the user accounts. I am going to have lunch first and if still no response from someone that has tried it I will be testing lol Then will post my results

I'm quite sure it was not designed to do that. Expect the unexpected, fear the worst, hope for the best.

You can select what files you transfer but backup and use restore points so you can reverse the damage.
I've used Eazy Transfer many times and it works great for most systems but you are trying something that it may not of been designed for.
Good Luck and lets us know how it goes.

Create an image first and then if there's loss you will have a backup!

Obviously you'll want to reimport only under the User Account for the user you're transferring.

This is a unique question and may add to the Google knowledge base for the first time, so please post back the results.

BTW I find drag n drop a much cleaner method of backing up then reimporting files from external. Easy Transfer uses way too much space and reimports settings which can be corrupt.

I have asked for more help on this prob.

I find the "Move To" option in this tutorial at the link to an excellent method to move stuff to the new Windows within Windows explorer, especially large files.
