Win 7 Home Premium 64bit

Dear all, sorry taken few days to post back here is quick update.
Had good look at CD and Roxio - found that Roxio ok for ISO but I had a bad disc.
Roxio would not read it when I tried to explore / validate it.
New disc, second try - worked a treat and booted up from CD like you said.
Partitioned the OS down to 100GB and created new working area partition.
Did exactly what I wanted - v happy.
Many many thanx for giving up your time to help W7 newbies.

Have also used the forum to workout how to enable ADMIN account and delete the one I created becuase I thought it odd there wasnt one [if you see what I mean]
Now I have my working area partition, I am trying to figure out how to best set it up - I can feel another post coming on.

Thanks again D:-)

Hello, was wondering if anyone could tell me with this, it seems almost 85gb of my hard drive space is being used up by recovery and I am starting to need the extra space in my C drive, is this possible? Thanks in advance :)

How to merge all partitions & unallocated space into 1?
Hello, I've just installed W7 Ultimate x32 on a 20GB partition and I wish to merge all the other partitions (1 being W7, 1 being Windows Vista, and 10 GB of unallocated space) since I have no use for the vista part and obviously i'd like to use those 10GB.. But I've tried following the steps...

Missing HD Space after removing partitions
I upgraded my Inspiron from a 320/5400 to a 500/7200 and turned the 320 into an external HDD, after removing the partitions via Disk Manager through Windows 7, only 229GB is available. When I open it in Disk Manager now, it only shows it as a 229GB Capacity HDD and no other partitions. Any ideas?
