Hypothetically..:P

I have been discussing this thing with my friend just now, thought it better to discuss it here.

1. Is there any program that comes which can merge my essential softwares into one "Package" i.e. a single installer(which saves and applies my choices for each installer) which will install every program that i need with a single click. Would'nt that be awesome.??

2. Or similarly can i backup my software installed in the O.S. to a portable drive which on fresh install does a rewrite the registry values and copy the files of installtion.?

The only program I know of is this:
Ninite Easy PC Setup - Silent Unattended Install Multiple Programs At Once

You select the programs you want and then get the installer, I don't know any that you can do yourself or change the settings within each program

Hope this Helps

Yes, this will allow you to reinstall both the OS and all programs with their desired settings at any time, or to another HD if the current one fails: Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

Reinstallation is a thing of the past with built-in drive imaging. If you want to make it failsafe, save also a second backup using free Macrium Reflect or Paragon Backup 10.
