I won't use Backup managers which change the file structure in any way so synch is the way I want to go.

Can you invoke it just by plugging external when you want?

What about the MS synch application?
I manually run SyncToy rather than scheduled so can't really answer Q1. I',ll setup for scheduled, run that way for a few days, and then get back on that one.

Q2: Doubt it, but will get back with my experiences trying to use that way.

Q3: Don't know, although I understand that SyncToy is either based upon or utilizes MS sync. Guess I'll need to pay attention to the info on SyncToy.
