Hi, really not sure what i can do here.
Trying to install Windows 7 32bit on an all-new, untouched system. The installation froze at 'completing installation', but i left it for about an hour just incase. I then had a power cut. Brilliant. When i turned the computer on again, there's absolutely no signal detection on my monitor/TV through the VGA cable. Is this salvageable at all?
try unplugging the monitor from the wall outlet or wherever its getting power from. plug it back in after about a 15 minutes.

If the above doesn't do it you may need to start another clean install though as there is a failed install 'floating around' there somewhere I would do a wipe (secure erase) to the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) just to remove any code that may cause issues.
Also use this same tutorial at the link below to create a 100GB partition to install Windows 7 to, I wouldn't make it much bigger because we're seeing issues with some installs stalling when trying to install to too large a space.

i've had that problem a couple times. once with a monitor, and once with a set of klipch speakers. something to do with a relay switch i believe.
Thanks for the advice. Tried unplugging everything for 15 mins+, and things are even stranger now. I turned the computer on, and the monitor was recognised. Brief relief. Then i put in the W7 activation disc, rebooted, then it didn't recognise it again. No boot screen, no nothing. What the hell?
UPDATE: Unplugged everything for another 15 minutes, and tried to boot the computer up with the disc already in. Still no monitor recognition, though immediately something starting beeping really loudly. (Not really a hardware person as you may have guessed, i don't know what was beeping) After about 30 seconds i turned the computer off, and tried again. No monitor, a couple of seconds worth of beeping, then after the beeping stopped the notice on my monitor/TV changed from 'No Signal' to 'Invalid Format'. Does that narrow it down at all?
i dont think its your monitor. fill in your system specs so we can help you more easily. write down the exact error messages you are getting, and describe the beep code you are getting, such as: one long beep-three short beeps, three lonng beeps, etc.
each beep code has its own meaning and can give a clue as to what the problem is.

All brand new, and it's a genuine W7 installation disc. I'm using my 42in 1080p LCDTV as the monitor.
The beeps were continuous the first time, and there was 3 beeps the second time. The third time, no beeps.
I'm being told that it may have something to do with the screen not being able to handle the native resolution of W7 after the first restart, as before the restart it worked fine. I'm going to try and get a hold of a dedicated PC monitor and See if it works there.

if you are correct about 3 beeps, its a memory issue. if you have more than one memory module, try taking them out, and test one at a time.
I've turned the computer on a couple more times now, and there hasn't been any beeps. Thanks, though.
Just tried booting up on a regular monitor. Still doesn't work. Once it went to the boot screen, but froze. All other times, no signal detection by the monitor.
