Problem Installing Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on a MacBook Air
Good morning,
I have a problem installing Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on a MacBook Air.
The machine is a MacBook Air 11.6", 1.6 GHz Intel Core Duo,4GB memory 1067 MHz DDR3 , 128 GB SSD Disk, running Mac OS X 10.6.7.
Using the Boot Camp Assistant I create the partition for Windows.
I installed then rEFIt 0.14 .
I boot from a external CD/DVD/Blu Ray unit (Pioneer BD-RW BDR-201) using a Windows 7 Ultimate DVD Including Service Pack 1) OEM Systems Builder Pack.
After getting the rEFIt window and select the Window 7 disk, the system took
just one second to ask me to Press Any Key to boot from CD or DVD.
After that took about 3 seconds in the first "Windows is loading files" window.
And after that about 49 seconds in the second "Windows is loading files" window.
When this second loading finished, I observe an access to the external DVD in
about 3 seconds, and another 8 seconds later, and after that nothing for one hour.
The window with the "windows is loading files" keeps exactly the same and there
is no more access to the DVD in one hour.
What can I be missing.?
Thank you for your help with this issue.
