    Messed up on Dual Boot.

I had a default Windows 7 OS, so what I did is got windows XP, and made a partition named Windows XP, and I loaded up the CD, and installed it onto the partition.
once I finished installing, my default os is Windows XP. Windows 7 is still on the main HD ( HD:C ) so yeah what do I do lol cause windows xp is so old and unstable, with drivers.

It took me 5 days to find my network drivers, so please help me lol am I stuck on XP??

    Hello Doc,

Well most of the time when loading a Dual-Boot, it SHOULD come onto a screen, and give you the option to choose which OS you want to install. Now when you installed windows XP on the partition, did you install it useing the CD reboot way, or did you have windows 7 open and installed it while running that?

    P.S. Welcome to SF

I didn't use any dual boot programs, that must be my mistake.

I had windows 7 on it. that's it.

I made a partition, 30 GB. Named Windows XP

Turned off computer, turned it on. Opened Disc Tray, Put in Windows XP CD.

    Installed XP Professional to partition.

Alright, Well the only thing I can currently think of is deleting the partition you made for Windows XP, and having Windows 7 loaded up and attempting to install through windows 7. The way it is made is that it will automatically make a partition with the inside built programs inside windows 7. This also happens in windows XP.
