Welcome to Seven Forums JASONBROOKS. mf.dll is a Windows Media Player File. Navigate to C:\windows\system32 and see if there is indeed a mf.dll located there. If there is, we will just register the dll. If there isn't, copy the dll file from my machine in the attached zip to C:\windows\system32 then we can regiister the dll

There is also a mf.dll in SysWOW64 folder on a x64 version of Windows. It is the exact same file, so should we have any issues, check if there is one in C:\windows\SysWOW64 as well. I believe only the system 32 and/or registering the dll will suffice.

If you have the mf.dll file in system32 already, just do the following (if not, D/L the attached, extract the dll, and put it in system32 first):

    Open an elevated command prompt

Start> Type cmd in search box> Right click on the cmd.exe in results above and choose Run as administrator

    Register the dll file

    In the command prompt type

    regsvr32 mf.dll

And press enter> You should get a message something like DllRegisterServer in ***.dll succeeded

Reboot PC ( May not be necessary ) and see if the problem is fixed.

If you have Windows N edition (which doesn't have media feature) you will need to install the Media Feature Pack. Just download from Microsoft page:
Download Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N with Service Pack 1 and Windows 7 KN with Service Pack 1 (KB968211) from Official Microsoft Download Center
