    Install problems

I'm having a problem installing Win7x64 Ultimate..It gets all the way installed and I get most of my software installed and then it crashes and I have to compleatly re do it again it has been at least 6 times.......I have no idea what the problem is because the BSOD goes by in a flah and I cant read it..Can I use system restore as I go along and not have to start over? Will system restore work in this fashion and how much of a resource hog is it?....

Wipe the HD first before install: Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command

Reset the CMOS in BIOS setup: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS Set SATA controller to AHCI first, then IDE if necessary. Is there a newer BIOS version update?

Remove all but 2gb of RAM, swap RAM sticks, test your RAM with memtest86 CD for 5=6 passes.

Test your HD with maker's diag/repair CD scan: Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp. Then run Disk Check from DVD Command Line.

Unplug all peripherals, other HD's. Use PS2 keyboard and mouse to try install.
