    Welcome Danny

You may want to read the excellent tut, to confirm my answer and to possibly learn more yourself.

I read the tut. But it describes changing a disc that you can manage in Windows. Since Windows is installed on my disc I can not delete all volumes using disk management. So I have to install a new version. But I think disk is still dynamic. Will try this week

i think if you reformat the drive, it reverts to basic, because every time i reformat and then go to "disk management", i then have to convert to dynamic again.

Use Option Two from Command Line of the DVD Repair console or Repair CD.

If you have a Win7 installation DVD then you don't need a Repair CD.

The DVD Repair console is located on the second screen after you boot the DVD: System Recovery Options

Choose Command Prompt and run the commands to convert Dynamic Disk back to Basic.

Since this will wipe your HD, make sure to back up your files and a Win7 backup image which may be able to be reapplied after the conversion:
Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup
    System Image Recovery
