Hello anos4a2, welcome to Seven Forums!

Here is an excellent idea from Greg that may be what you need and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

The error can also be because the SATA controller driver in BIOS is set to AHCI meaning an AHCI driver is needed if available. So check that setting in BIOS setup. But you can't now change the setting to IDE mode because Win7 won't start.

Windows Xp with Windows 7 theme = Win

Xp doesn't work on some newer models. You could always install windows Xp VIA virtual machine which works great! There's a couple of free ones out there!

The reason XP "doesn't work on some newer models" is due to the newer SATA HD controller drivers not being in the ancient XP installer.

You'll need to insert them at F6 drivers prompt if you have a floppy drive, or slipstream them into the XP installer: SATA Drivers - Slipstream into Windows XP CD
