Windows 7 Installer not seeing by SATA3 Drivers

: I have GA-X58A-UD3R mobo, 2 WD 1tb 6gbs drives in Raid 0. I’m trying to do a fresh install of WIndows 7 64 (first time OS load). The Installer will not see my drives. Bios sees them, but Windows 7 installer does not does not.

I've made a RAID Driver disk using the drivers that the disk the mobo came with, but when i select the driver during the install it still does not recognize the drive. I'm using the Marvell 9128 Driver.

    Thoughts? Thanks!

How far does the installer get?

For some strange reason, when I install Windows 7 Ultimate x64 it takes about 15-20 minutes for the installer to recognize my SATA II DVD drive. So it's not uncommon. How long did you wait for the installer to recognize it? I suggest trying again, and let it set for awhile. It might work. I know it did with my rig.

I have the same motherboard GA-X58A-UD3R v2 (and same wd drives)and found that you need to enable the Marvell Raid configuration in BIOS. First you enable it then you can figure your Raid configuration in the BIOS prior to attempting to load the operating system. The Marvell 9128 chip supports raid 0 or Raid 1. So when you start your computer you hit the delete key and go through that process prior to attempting to boot from the CD drive with the installation disk. Once the Windows 7 installation starts you select the custom installation option and there is a screen where you can click on ' drivers' prior to loading. By that stage will notice it had detected the drive configured in Raid. In my BIOS v fa you also need to enable ahci setting for the second drive. I'm sorry I don't have my motherboard manual with me and I am on a different computer so I can't offer screenshots. I hope that is some help. By the way I am now reading that Intel ICH10 using only Sata2 Raid is actually faster. I have been a little disappointed with the so-called Sata Raid facility. It works but the drives really are constrained to about 126mb/s most of the time. Let me know what you think.
