Reinstalling Win7 Pro 32 Bit OEM on a Different PC

Hi Guys,

I mistakenly purchased a 32 bit version of windows 7 pro which was on OEM. Now I am going to purchase the 64 bit version OEM software again and format my hard drive and reinstall the 64 bit OS on my PC.

My question is now that I will be using the 64 Bit version, can I re-use my 32 bit OEM on a completely different PC as it will no longer be installed on my PC?

If so do I have to uninstall it first or will a simple wipe off the hard drive deactivate the 32 bit key?

Also is there a cheaper option to purchasing the OEM software again, such as upgrading from 32bit to 64bit?

Each license can be used for either 32- or 64-bit, you can change at any time as often as you want, as long as the license is used on only one installation at a time. However with OEM you are locked to the motherboard you first install upon.

Ok so what your saying is I dont need to buy a brand new 64 bit OEM version I can just use my Key and simply install the 64 bit software on my PC? If so can I download an iso for the 64 bit software from anywhere or how would i get my hands on it?

We are not allowed to link to downloads as it enourages piracy.

It's best to borrow one from a friend, copy the DVD, or if another version extract the ISO using ImgBurn, remove ei.cfg file using this tool to burn an all-versions DVD to reinstall with your Product Key.

Or you can download one from the web - just be sure to rightclick scan with your AV, and test the HASH to compare to official HASH to make sure nothing has been added or deleted from Windows 7.
