You need the SATA controller storage driver, a component of your mobo chipset unless you have a special card for SATA controller.
If you unzip the chipset and browse using Nlite, it should clue you which is the SATA controller. If not, slipstream in the entire chipset.
Are you trying to run a Repair Install on the XP you reimaged? Another approach would be to mark Windows 7 Active, run Startup Repair x3 until it starts, then from EasyBCD 2.0 add XP, accept offered boot files, Save, Restart.
