Hi Guys.
This is my first post on this forum so please bare with me. Ok this is what I have Sony Vaio VPCEC2S0E i5CPU M430 @ 2.27Ghz 6GB Ram Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. I use this laptop to DJ with at Mobile Discos so I have removed alot of Bloated software provided by Sony. I did here that there are some Lite Versions of 64 Bit Operating Systems. My other question is If I did get one of these versions would the product key on the underside of this laptop work. Thanks very much

Hello mikejames, welcome to Seven Forums!

If you know someone or somewhere you could get a Windows 7 installation DVD, you could use the info in this tutorial at the link below to create an "all versions" installer to install the exact same version that is on the PC now and you could use the activation key on the COA sticker attached to the PC to do the activation with; it may take a robo-call to MS to sort the batch key but that's not a big deal.

Windows 7 is already as light as an OS can get, as beta testers who tried Vliting it found out. It can be Vlited for size (netbook) only, as all services not needed are set to Manual anyway.

Since you're already focused on the bloatware which corrupts any factory install, have a look at some tips on getting a perfect clean reinstall based on hundreds I've done: re-install windows 7

Until then, here is the safest way to clean up the bloatware: HP laptop has used up all four primary partitions
