help upgrading

hey im currently running win 7 pro x84 bit and trying to install win 7 pro x64bit

however its not letting me, its a legit version of win 7, i have tried booting with dvd drive and on desktop however i keep getting this error



ive done a perfomance test and i no my computer can supprot 64bit, its a new computer i just purchased

not sure what else to include, ive tried to boot with dvd but it doesnt like boot through it but it boots my XP and Vistas, any help would be sweet

You can't upgrade from 32bit to 64bit. You will have to do a clean install.

Boot the CD from the Bios. Click the Custom not the Upgrade when you get to Step 6 in the tutorial as in below picture. Follow the rest of the directions and you should be good to go.

Back up any data you want to save before you go any further. You will lose it on installation.

If you are trying to upgrade your current OS from within the OS it will not work because of the architectural differences between 32-bit and 64-bit. It has to be a clean install.

You should be able to boot from the DVD if the boot order is correct in your BIOS (you will need to press any key to boot to the DVD when prompted, otherwise the boot process will drop through to the next device and attempt to boot from that instead).

Your computer will support it but it seems the yfrog programme doesn't.

Remove it and if the system then installs, look for a 64bit version.

Forget it, I diidn't realise you were trying to just upgrade, as others say you can't,
