Windows 7 - Unable to boot Windows 7 after unistalling Ubuntu Dual boot

After deleting the partition on which Ubuntu was installed and enlarging the windows partition to fill the old space at the same time( stupid I know), I am unable to boot to Windows 7. All I see is a command line message that says Unknown File System and on the next line says Grub Rescue> with the option to input commands. After looking at this forum and Ubuntu forums I'm still unable to resolve the issue. I would like to be able to boot into windows 7.

You'll have to restore your Master Boot Record. See this tutorial:

Mark the Windows 7 partition Active, boot the DVD or Repair CD, click through to Recovery Tools list to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots until Windows 7 starts up.
Partition - Mark as Active
Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times

Be aware that having GRUB on a Windows 7 HD can corrupt it requiring wiping the HD to clean reinstall. This is why it is best to keep Linux distros on separate HD's booted via BIOS and not afflict Windows 7 with GRUB.
