    Win 7 and Server 2008 R2

Is it possible to have these both on disk?
    has anyone had any issues?

Which should I install first for that matter?

Do you mean the same HDD or the same DVD (aka a backup disk)?

If it is the latter then I don't believe you can, but if it is the former then yes as long as you create a separate partition for etch OS (Partition or Volume - Create New)

I don't believe it will make much of a difference for server 2k8 and win7.

    Hello.

Install 2008 R2 first so Windows 7 will automatically configure the Windows dual boot menu.

Have you considered NOT doing a dual boot, but rather using virtualization software and running Server 2008 R2 as a virtual machine?
