Windows 7 64bit intallation issue

    Ok had to install twice but ive made it too the desktop, in the process of installing drivers and applications from the stock disc.
    ive tried to run a backup several times error codes 0x80042308 and 0x8078006B shown up

    but im very grateful for your help
    any pointers from here?

    Run this command...
    fsutil dirty query c:

    If there's a disk problem detected, then run...
    chkdsk /f /r
    The "/r" will test the disk platters for bad spots and mark them off. Many laptops have been dropped and the heads have hit the platters. This creates permanent bad spots.
    If the drive itself is failing electronically, then there's nothing you can do but replace it, but with laptops getting moved around, it is always more likely than a desktop that the platters might have some damage. If the bad spots are marked-off as bad, Windows won't ever use those spots. This "can" return the drive to new performance, minus the space used-up by the bad spots.
