formating, installing and putting on toshiba goodies

I am trying to delete the recovery drive and use all the c and recovery drive with windows 7. I do however want the Toshiba extras that come with it, well some of them. I also would like to use the windows experiance ratings. What do I have to do to accomplish this? I know some but am learning as I go, sorry! If this is not the best way to do this maybe you could let me know that too.

First, why are you trying to delete the recovery partition? From what I can see you have plenty of hard disk space, so leave it alone its a good insurance. What you should also do is to creat restore disks using the inbuilt toshiba software, you can these to revert to factory settings just like you can do from the recovery partition. In either case, if you revert all toshiba drivers and preinstalled apps that came with the comp will be restored. I think thats the way you want it?

And what do you mean you want to "use" the experience ratings? Has WEI run once, what are your scores?

I don't want all of the factory software just some of Toshibas. I have already made those disks. That's how I get the Toshiba extras on after I did a clean install. But now the scoring is not working. I have tried this a few times and just can't seem to get it the way I want. lol.

Do you mean the options are greyed out or WEI doesnt complete or gives an error?

Well let me give you some possible solutions, try them one by one.

    1) Try resetting WEI.

    Windows Experience Index - Reset

    2) Try running a sfc scan to fix corrupted system files.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    and from the dvd

SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

After that see if WEI works.

Thank you I will try that, thanks again!!! I have a feeling I will be back...LOL
Okay that worked, know how to do that, thank you..
Now just make 2 partions and install windows 7 and some toshiba extras.
Is there a certain order I should do the installs?

mpoehling, your language skills far exceed mine. So first tell me, are you able to run WEI now? Can you post a screenshot?
