Hi all, I had the same problem, changed Sata in bios from AHCI ---> IDE and then i got Win XP in, the 2 OS is working just fine.... But I have to change the settings in Bois when I go from Windows 7 to Win XP and also the other way. Anyone that have any ideas how to get this fixed? I can live doing that but there have to be a way fixing this, ( I hope) Any help would be nice.
Thanks in advance
I tried installing windows xp on my dell laptop running windows 7.The installation started but soon i got the error message
"setup is stopping to prevent any damage to your computer.check your hard drive to make sure its configured properly.run sfc on your hard drive etc etc
Is it coz i have to install drivers for my SATA hard drive so xp can recognise it or is problem something different???
btw my windows 7 is running normal without any problems and i am trying to install xp in another partition on my internal HDD.
thanks in advance
