    Windows 7 locks up when installing any program


    Windows 7 locks up when installing any program. I cannot put it simpler than that, I happens every time. Am on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 sp1 (7061)

    I don't know why. Any Ideas?

    Perhaps you have too many 'things' running, have you checked the msconfig startup file?

    Win7 troubleshooting fundamentals

    If logs and other resources don't reveal the problem, SFC is clean or finds unfixable System files, then consider the Repair Install as a last resort before Clean Reinstall.
