    Do you mean you are using a SATA/RAID PCI Express card?

    Boot the XP CD first to see if it sees the HD and will let you use the tools to delete, repartition and full format before install. You may not need the SATA driver if it sees the HD and will allow you to access it for this.

    To do this, set CD drive as first to boot in BIOS setup Boot Order: How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD - Boot to CD
