geforce 8200 asus m3n78 windows 7 fails to install

hi all,

basic gaming system, asus m3n78-emh hdmi mobo,

trying to install win7 rc1, all other devices removed (pcie, pci, usb)

seems to go ok, re-boots, "starting system first run" and screen goes blank, stays there.

any know issues with this nforce/geforce chipset? Tried 3 different disk burns.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem too but I am using 7100 version could it be the problem? I am trying to download 7260 version and try out.

I'm using the x64 version of the RC, not sure what build.
Also tried the x32 version.. No joy..

Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit / XP Home sp3

Try updating your bios and chipset drivers they have seven 64 bit avalible. Select motherboard> Am2 3 then model> then OS>you'll see wht is their for installing. ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

Those drivers are probably updated in the RTM. Try installing the drivers into the installer , or select "Stay connected to internet during installation" and plug ethernet.

The basic problem could be that RC is beta buggy and has a ton of monitoring software, not even comparable to the RTM in quality and performance.

Check your BIOS to see that Sata controller is set to AHCI if avail. If loading drivers into installer doesn't help with booted install, then update the chipset and vid card as suggeted and try running installer from the old OS.
