    language


    i purchased a computer in china. when i install programs they start up in chinese. how can i make my computer default to be the United States (English).

    I'm afraid that if you want to change the language, you'll have to get Windows 7 Ultimate to get the language packs. Of course this is as far as I know, but I'm guessing this is the only way :/

    i have windows 7 ultimate. i have language packs because i use chinese = my problem is that i want the computer to download my programs in english . not chinese ...

    bigless1000 is right. Windows 7 Ultimate let you choose the language packs.

    It´s your best, and probably only, solution.

    Did you try to change:

    Control panel:
    Clock, Language and Region
    And changue the language and region to USA???

    yes ... just checked and noticed my default location was still china .... hope that fixes it
