Toshiba SP6100 (7 installation issues) please help

    hi

I currently have various laptops and computers (which all are running 7 either 32 or 64bit) ALL but one laptop

    Toshiba Sp6100

I have tried various different ways of installing windows 7 but each time i do,it gets as far as "starting windows" with the window pattern (install stage) and just gets no further... after 3 hours i gave up and tried another way and so it goes on...

Has anyone else tried putting 7 on this model of toshiba laptop ?

It was still "stuck" on the 4 square windows loading logo with "starting windows" underneath and was stuck for a good 10 minutes,as soon as i ejected (removed) the above USB cardbus Bang :) it was off and loading up

I'm not sure what that video is doing in this thread but I like it.

That skinny kid plays a mean set of buckets.

The cheap *******s were only putting coins in the tip bucket. No folding money.
Playing buckets that good has got to worth a 5 spot.

Jack, I am sure Greg will understand. He said to me that he is drumming for the clean install wherever he can. And this thread was an example - he was drumming although the thread was already solved.

The reason is that whenever someone tells me they already have a good install, and I have the chance to look at it, there is so much wrong that I conclude they are not even experiencing Windows 7 native performance and may never have on that PC - most especially if it is a factory install. So I try to edge them toward it by asking them to compare the install they have with Clean Reinstall Windows 7 , even while also helping them troubleshoot the problems they have for a lesser solution.

The thing that baffles me is that there are no reported problems after 1.2 million have used it. This was once thought to be a risky operation and was frowned upon by the OEM's some of whom actually refused to support it in favor of their bloatware installs. That has all gone away now, and even Windows 10 Team is considering allowing Windows 10 factory OEM to have a Clean Reinstall reset built in. They've become convinced as a company that it is in their interests for consumers to have the best possible Win7 install. We helped do that.

Greg, You need not justify your drive for a clean install. It is a worthwhile effort. I just thought the video was a good drumming sample. LOL

I don't remember using "drumming." I think it was "like a Pentecostal preacher."

MS uses the word "evangelist" but Corrine says that means I should be paid.
