Fix for "some" Install Hang/Failed install.
Hello everyone, I've been testing this Windows 7 for some time now and have a fix that should help some who can't get Windows 7 To install. This works with the beta or the RC.
Ok so For me, both installs took a few tries, and What I discovered on my system is , even though I'm running the 64 Biit version If I have 4 gigs of ram slotted the Install will fail everytime.
So Simply take out a gig of ram and it should install fine. I am not going to go through all the different tests and settings I tried as The wall of text would be enormous.
On a side note;
I did the install a few times,(both 64 and 32 bit) and swapped out differnt sticks of ram, and used differnt combos,it didn't make a differnce as long as I didn't have 4 gigs in there it installed without a hitch.
Hope this helps =)
Stay tuned as I am working on a fix for those BSOD Related to gaming and memory, running tests now.
