7 primary partitions on one drive
On another forum I saw this disk management picture showing 7 primaries on one drive. Is that not a bit odd? The man double boots with Linux - maybe that did it.

No, it says 5 primaries.
2 of them are without letters and disk mgmt is unable to see any contents.
That is normal.
Yeah, but even 5 primaries would violate the NTFS architecture rules. They should all be dynamics.
Yes, I am not sure it is a bug.
It is still present in 7.
MS have no interest in helping with "non-standard" e.g. Linux volumes.
As I posted above - it is normal for Vista/7 diskmgmt.
Call it what you want, but you cannot define more than four partitions in the mbr.
