Where to get installation files afer pc crash recovery.

Hello i have two Acer Computers one desktop and one laptop.
I ****ed up the laptop dual booting with Ubuntu and can t seem to get it fixed.
As i need my laptop i have ordered a new harddrive for my acer computer.
I wil replace the harddrive and then i would like to reinstall windows.
The only problem is that i never got a Windows CD rom or Dvd with both the dekstop and laptop both acer and both Windows 7 Home Premium.
As i have a key written on my laptop i would like to know where i can find these files?
I have already paid 2 times for a license and i m not planing to do this again.

If anybody can help me out with this i am already greatefull for any advice on this...!!!
Thank you very much for all your tips

Others may know better than me, but I know of no "legal" free source of Win 7 installation media. There is a source you can use to create an Win7 Repair CD, but that can not be used to install Win 7.

Unless you removed it, your old hard drive should have a Recovery partition on it containing a compressed Win7 image -- which you could then use to restore your PC to its original state, and use the product key on the case to activate it.

If you removed the Recovery partition, and did not make a restoration DVD or CDs from that, you're basically out of luck at this point as, short of acquiring an Win7 installation DVD, you're not going to be able to get Win7 reinstalled.

Hi broeckie27, instead of a new HDD, will the OS on the drive now boot? Then use Acer's recovery console, partition during recovery and get rid of the Ubuntu install. I think that could work.
