    NO, Catch 22:)

    Always use manufacturer’s drivers.

    You can use Microsoft as a last resort.
    Find drivers app is a NO, NO.

    Ray are you advising importing manufacturers drivers for XP?

    Win7 drivers are automated, not requiring replacement with manufacturer's drivers unless performance problems point to the driver as cause.

    Greg, If you are using a old MOBO, Win XP drivers may be needed.

    One example of MS Driver Updater.
    Fujitsu Notebook 3515.
    1) Update Video card drivers with MS Driver Updater, on Restart you can not use the onboard Screen.
    2) Update Video card drivers with Fujitsu Driver Updater, on Restart you can use the onboard Screen.
