I want to use 32-bit sometimes as well

Hey People,

I am not the best with installing software etc, but I am willing to give it a shot.
I am currently running on Windows 7 Home Prem 64-bit and I want to use 34-bit sometimes as well? What will I need to make this work? Any directions would be so appreciated.

Appreciate it so much

Hello Holland90, welcome to Seven Forums!

Start by having a look at this tutorial at the link below, just replace where it discusses Vista with your 64-bit Windows 7 as it's the same theoretically and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

Is there a specific reason why wou want to use 32 bit? Are you having a program compatibility issue? Dual-booting can bring on a whole new host of issues, and I honestly have avoided it for a few years now. Virtualization makes it a thing of the past. You could run XP Mode, or us another free solution, like VirtualBox. This way, if something goes wrong, your primary OS isn't affected.

Do you just want to run 32bit programs? if so they will install and run on 64bit win 7 with no problems unless they are really old. In which case you would have similar compatibility problems with 32bit windows.

When you buy Win 7 you get a 32 and 64 bit DVD but the key allows you to use one of them at a time, not both. You would need to buy another key to use both.
