    usb3 compatibility

    Hi all,
It's time to buy a new usb flash drive and I've noticed a few are usb3 which are supposedly faster??. I've only used the usb2 type so my question is will my comp accept it or do I need drivers or whatever? Txs

Is it the Deluxe model with USB 2.0 only?
If so, you'll need to get a USB 3.0 add-in card to get the speed of USB 3.0.

You should do some research on whether a 3.0 card in a 2.0 motherboard will be faster.

    Others will probably weigh in.

    Thanks P5
Duh.....I should have thought first! Checked the Asus site and my P6T is rated for usb2 only. Don't think I'll bother going for the usb3, cards, etc. There's a Patriot usb2 quad speed 32Gb on special down here so I'll grab one of those. Thanks again mate!
