Help with dual boot

Hi All
I needed to upgrade my old seagate 250gb hard drive with Windows 7 on it, so I installed a new 500gb hdd and then installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 on it.

My problem is I can't boot unless the old drive stays connected,if I disconnect it I get a message 'file missing NTLDR please restart'.

If I leave it connected I can boot into either copy of Windows 7.

I would like to be able to remove the old hdd, I will appreciate any assistance.

TIA

You needed to unplug the old HD before installing Windows 7 on the new one.

In Disk Management, mark new Windows 7 installation Active, shut down, unplug old HD.

Boot the Windows 7 DVD Repair console to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots until it writes the System boot files to Windows 7 and it starts up.

If this fails, plug back in the old HD and post back a screenshot of your full Disk Mgmt drive map with listings, using Snipping Tool in Start Menu.
