Why can't i install 7600.16385?

Talking about this:

7600.16385.090713-1255_x64fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD.iso (WZOR rls)

When mounted it gives me this:

When extracting and trying to run setup.exe it says win32 is not compatible.

I'm using XP SP3 when i'm trying to install it.

Also i can't burn it to DVD as i dont have any left, and not enough big USB stick for alternative.

EDIT: Is it because i'm running X86 version of WinXP from where i'm trying to run it?

You trying to do an upgrade or a fresh install?

if an upgrade you will need to do a fresh install so maybe you will have to wait till you get my blank dvd's

I believe it's because you can't upgrade from a 32-bit OS to a 64-bit one. You would have to clean install.

Can i go somehow to DOS after reboot, and DIR myself to the folder it's extracted? And try it then (without loading Windows up before)?

Yes. You cannot upgrade from x86 to x64. Do a clean install by booting off the iso burnt to DVD.

Well, fck MS's intellectual property rights and all of their EULA if that's the case.

EDIT: But can you do an upgrade from Vista x86 Windows without any additional burning?

Well, Microsoft actually allows it in some circumstances:
How to Upgrade Windows XP To Windows 7

But of course i can't run that migration thing in Windows 7 map as i'm running a 32-bit OS and trying to install 64-bit one (Not win32 compatible error).

It should be possible with DOS, though.

Don't forget to backup all your files to a different partition, or to a external disk before clean install.

Lot of people save files to desktop, don't forget those.

Export your favourites
Export your address book of the email client.
Export your email accounts from your email client
Export your agenda appointments if you have them.

Be thorough.

If I got a dollar every time people forget those things, I would be a rich man.
