    Installing Windows 7

    Hello,
I recently downloaded the beta of Windows 7 from the Microsoft Website after quite a bit of trouble that most of you may have heard about.

I was wondering if I should install Windows 7 onto the computer as an Operating System or whether I should install it on Virtual PC.

I really want to see what Windows 7 would be like on a proper computer with the necessary graphics cards, rather than running in a bit of a reduced functionality mode in Virtual PC.
Does anyone know if there is a specific program you can get that supports the Aero feature in a virtual operating system.

    Thanks very much,

    Matthew

Most of us here have done a full install and are dual booting with Vista or XP, you won't be able to fully enjoy the new features without it.

    It will do it automatically.

Remember to install Win7 on a seperate partition.

You can make a new volume with the instructions in this tutorial and then install your 7 onto the new volume.

You need to use a program called EasyBCD to recreate your missing boot files.
